Today, I would like to officially welcome our new technical team to the Young Africans family.
Our Head Coach Manqoba Mngqithi, Assistant Coach Simo Dladla, Set Pieces Coach Kagisho Dikgacoi, Goalkeeping Coach Greg Etafia, and Tactical Performance Analyst Yardaan Valodia, welcome to one of the biggest football clubs in Africa.
Young Africans is a club built on history, ambition, and high expectations. Every person who wears our badge understands that they become part of something much bigger than themselves.
Over the last five seasons, together, we have achieved something special by winning five consecutive Tanzanian Premier League titles. We are proud of what has been accomplished, but we have no intention of stopping here. That is why we believe this new technical team will help us take the next step in our journey.
Coach Manqoba arrives with a wealth of experience and one of the strongest coaching profiles on the continent. His work with Mamelodi Sundowns, including being part of the technical leadership that won the CAF Champions League in 2016 alongside Coach Pitso Mosimane, speaks for itself.
We also welcome Coach Simo Dladla, Coach Kagisho Dikgacoi, Coach Greg Etafia, and Yardaan Valodia. Each of them brings valuable experience and expertise that will strengthen our technical department. Just to note, Coach Kagisho Dikgacoi, his journey in football is interesting and cements his experience. As a former South African international, he represented his country at the highest level, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and enjoyed a successful playing career in the English Premier League with Crystal Palace and Fulham.

As a club, our ambitions continue to grow. We want to continue competing strongly in Tanzania while taking bigger steps in the CAF Champions League. We want Young Africans to continue building its reputation among the very best clubs on the continent.
Young Africans is a club with millions of supporters whose expectations are always high. That pressure comes with the privilege of representing this badge. We believe you understand the responsibility that comes with leading this football club, and we are committed to giving you the support you need to succeed.
To our members and supporters, I ask you to extend the same warmth and unity that has always defined our club. Let us give our new technical team the environment they need to work, while continuing to stand behind the players throughout the season.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, our members, supporters, and the entire Young Africans family, We wish the team every success. Welcome to Young Africans.
